Position: Tutor - Homework Club

Impact Statement: This club is dedicated to providing refugee youth with homework support as they begin settling into Canadian life.
Description: Do you enjoy interacting with youth from diverse backgrounds? Come join the team at Reception House and volunteer for our newcomer Homework Club! Volunteers with math and science backgrounds are especially needed for this position, however, we welcome volunteers from all educational backgrounds. People who speak Arabic, Somali, Rohingya, Swahili, are particularly encouraged to apply.
Requirements: English Proficiency
Training Details: Training session will be provided by Reception House before volunteer placement commences. Orientations are ongoing and scheduled biweekly.
Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Weekday - Evening
Time Detail: Volunteers will be expected to commit to either Monday night, Wednesday night or both or the duration of the program.

Program runs from 5:30pm-6:30pm both nights.
